found a dude outside. my research indicates that this is a southern toad (anaxyrus terrestris) (you can see the little horns on its head that indicate it's a southern toad and not a marine toad)

good reason to be out and about at 6am. it definitely made my day a lot better
I was on-site with a customer in Nebraska once for my job at the time and it started absolutely pouring outside while we were working and when I went out for some fresh air there were HUNDREDS of toads all gathered on the pavement by the door, waiting out the storm. It was surreal but also really cool
NOT GONNA LIE, THAT IS SO COOL... i love amphibians
