cow of tailed snake (gay)

you can say "chimoora" instead of "cow of tailed snake" if you want. its a good pun.

i ramble about aerospace sometimes
I take rocket photos and you can see them @aWildLupi

I have a terminal case of bovine pungiform encephalopathy, the bovine puns are cowmpulsory

they/them/moo where "moo" stands in for "you" or where it's funny, like "how are moo today, Lupi?" or "dancing with mooself"

I met another they/them/moo cowgender pal in the broad pastures of the internet and I was like "wait do we have a pride flag?"

neither of us could think if we did, and then this idea sorta popped into my mind, riffing on first only the nonbinary flag, but then the other moo suggested green for open pastures/meadows. And then i remembered the Therian flag, and it became what i doodled here.

transcription of image text {text in brackets is added for clarity}

[image of nonbinary flag]: "all colors from nonbinary flag"
[image of therian flag]: "green from therian flag, for nonhuman cows. white, purple, and black already present from nb {flag}"

[concept image of cowgender pride flag]:
black and white make up cowprint for main body off flag
purple {stripe on top} should be gentle curves, like clouds in the sky
(which purple? either? both? split the difference?)

use the yellow to make this (not final) cow symbol
cowbell as cow "skull" with long horns and floppy ears comin' from it

About half an hour in Inkscape.

Sorry about the shape of the clouds, and I decided to do a sort of a hill instead of grass on flag.

I wanted to do it later but that thin transparent line between the two halves of the bell bothered me.

Also apparently I left the background transparent on the previous version. Oops.

i think this is good! I would possibly try and pull back the purple and green bands a bit, make more room for more cowprint.

the shapes are good, i wouldn't worry about them besides!

I also like how you interpreted the cow skull bell shape! that's a fun way to do it.

my rationale for making the top and bottom stripes narrower is that the cow part ought to be on more focus, and be like. at least half the vertical real estate, maybe?

maybe uh, if i had to phrase it, uh.
the "cow" part should be the prominent part, with the "gender" aspects of therian and nb there to complement it?

and as with the other contributor, do you have a ko-fi or anything? It's the least i can do to throw a little bit towards ya for the help.

oh shit.

i can't believe this didn't occur to me in the moment, would a cloven hoofprint make a good symbol?

thinking on it no, this is cow pride, not hoofer pride.

hoofer pride could be an entirely different flag, with like. stripes for cow, pig, deer, etc

in reply to @arina-artemis's post:

ideas (use as you wish, or don't, i'm just spitballing):

could the donkey cross be something representing blinders/bridle/reins for beast of burden?

could the pig head be a curly-q spiral like a cartoon pigtail?

and maybe there's a farmgender group flag that could come out of this, too, big red barn in the center, yellow stripe riding atop the green hill like wheat fields, black stripe doing the same for the purple band

that could be fun!

i dunno if the additional stripes are worth backporting to the cow flag, but it could work for the other farmgenders

more food for thought, i suppose. plenty to graze on

its supposed to look kinda like a bridle? i think t hat's the right piece

wanted to take the cross out from behind the donkey head, and also do something with the very linear donkey head and frame it

also a donk friend i have said the original as they saw it rules, haw reblogged it earlier tonight and everything, so its good regardless
