What're your thoughts on The DoD's Most Beautiful Creation, the North American X-10/SM-64 Navaho cruise missile, doomed to obsolescence by its own booster stage

the X-10 was the flight testbed for the cruise missile stage itself, and thats the part thats most gorgeous.
The booster stage would be its undoing as mentioned, because it was a common ancestor to a lot of american rockets, an interim between the V-2 and like, most 1960s ICBMs/IRBMs.
