I didn't see Toy Story 3 because I think around that time I felt I was way too old for pixar films anymore, especially Toy Story. I sorta accepted the "story" as "done" because a bunch of people said it wrapped up the movies into a nice trilogy. Then they made a 4th one and everyone was like "ok, these are done for real" and now they're making a 5th one, and Buzz and Woody are back somehow according to Tim Allen.
This is kind of like how the Fast and Furious movies went where the "final" film was then split into 2, and now supposadly 3 ones. American sitcoms used to have this same problem where the show kept getting renewed and the premise stopped making sense as the characters got older and they had to explain time progression. This wasn't a problem for animated shows, The Simpsons have been going forever and now Futureama is getting a...3rd revival? Does anything end anymore?
not while there's a single cent of revenue for the multibillion dollar corporations to wring from its corpse
"just walk out" includes the movie theater or the dentists office when they have a kids movie on in the waiting room
