Okay, so one of the things that I like to keep abreast of are emulator handhelds. I think they're neat little purpose built devices! I have a Retroid Pocket2+ and a Miyoo Mini (out on loan) that I use to muck about with retro games when I'm stuck in a waiting room or something.

But the number of y'all knuckle draggers that criticise these handhelds as "Feeling like a cheap toy." need to fucking get help. Go to therapy. These are plastic pocket toys that play fuckin' old video games. On what fucking Earth do you expect your POCKET TOY THAT PLAYS VIDEO GAMES to feel like a C Suite Executive weighted porcelain desk poodle statue? Would you prefer it had leather grips and came with a button down cashmere shirt embroidered with the text "I see you may have noticed my very serious retro computing device that I employ to amuse myself in a very serious and adult-like fashion by playing only the finest of vintage electronic entertainment wares."?

Get the absolute fuck over yourself. You know why shit feels "Weak" or "Light"? You're a fucking 40+ year old man who has actual muscles. The screens are small because you are big. We've spent decades working to make materials thinner, lighter and more cost effective at every turn. Things are light and sleek now because it's fucking good actually

Every time I fucking see someone remarking how "Toylike" these actual fucking toys are I lose my mind a little more. What the fuck is wrong with these fuckos?

I think the general fear is that they sorta fear breaking it since it has to be ordered and sent from somewhere for a few weeks. On the other hand, having "something feel toy like" would be good on that sense.
