This relatively straight and clean BMW 3-Series was a real odd duck at the yard. No big life-ending dents, no evidence of fire in the engine bay (or anywhere else, for that matter). Just a 1988 BMW 3-Series, picked all but clean. Not a Copart car either, and running the VIN the title is clean as a whistle, no accidents, no insurance claims. It's first noted in Merrimack, NH in 1996, and a flat 10 years later in 2006 it made it's way to Melbourne (Florida), when we get it's only mileage report- 61,684. It's titled a second time in Palm Bay to the south in 2013, and it stops getting registered in 2018.
To venture into the land of speculation and spitballing- I want to say this was a pretty well cared for retiree car that followed it's owner to the Sunshine State, and then had some minor unfortunate event- engine issues, if I had to totally guess- eventually put it off the road. And it sat in a garage, and maybe the previous owner's kid tried to fix it for a few years, or maybe they didn't care at all, but it eventually got sent here. The solace I take in cars like these at junkyards is at least they get picked clean of basically any halfway worthwhile part, so they keep other cars going.
