it's so much cheaper to get bulk rice at walmart than it is even at winn dixie that it justified it, and stacking canned goods from Aldi in was also good to the point where I might've still saved money even if I'd had to pay for bus fare both ways.
i've got the gas grill and dutch oven (this time i won't fuss with the charcoal grill) to use in the shed and i'll make a big pot of chili if it comes down to it. I mean i'll make it either way,
i've also just gotten sandwich supplies and those should hold okay in a cooler
but i went to the library to get a just-in-case power outage read, and they didn't have any of The Expanse books, which I'd been wanting to get into :(
also tangentially as far as storm prep goes, if anyone has a line on a rinsekit pressure booster pump for the rinsekit POD, i've searched on and off for the past year but apparently they discontinued the damn thing
the thing is so close to useful except i have low water pressure when we have power, and no water pressure at all when we don't, since i'm on a well. So, the times i would want to use it i can't actually fill or repressurize it.
i may as well just go to the hardware store and get a garden sprayer since that's actually usefful where this thing isn't, it was just something passed along to me
