I always set custom ringtones on my phones.
Admittedly, iPhones make it harder to do than other phones, but even then, apparently you can do it with the GarageBand app, if you go through the trouble of adding music to your iTunes.
The way I've always done it is with ffmpeg to convert to Apple's m4r format, and then drag and drop to phone.
Oh yeah, I kinda forgot that ffmpeg can crop the audio too... 😅

Ive had “Access” the song from the very start of Cave Story as my ringtone for years. I don’t know how I set it initially but it has automatically transferred every time I’ve gotten a new iphone
