okay for some reason the past 2 days I've been getting ads for a live action One Piece that Netflix is apparently doing and:
I've never heard of this before I started getting those ads 2 days ago
I have never shown any interest in One Piece so I don't know why the ad trackers thinks I care
I can still tell, as a complete outsider, that One Piece fans are going to despise it. This is going to be their Cowboy Bebop moment.
actually seems like people are liking it alright! watched the first half of the season myself and thought it was pretty good 😊
It's actually pretty good! It takes some liberties (which is fine), biggest of which is revealing something that the anime doesn't until ep ~400.
I'd say that its biggest flaw is that, since it uses 8 episodes to show what the original did in 45, most secondary characters don't get the chance to do anything at all.
Their marketing is doing something intense because for the last couple days I keep tripping over ads for, mentions of, and mentions of the ads for this thing.
