I don't believe so? I mostly have cohost up in a secondary monitor that's portrait oriented though so I'm not terribly familiar with how it looks in Wide Mode
It did get wider for me. Rechosting is also readable on mobile, and using the back button/gesture doesn't exit the app anymore.
