if there's one thing the obscure korean cooking show me and my gf watched religiously for the like 1 year it was on netflix taught me, its that if you want to make something taste good you should just add fucking msg
don't even think about it. just add msg. it's always the right choice
msg sensitivity is completely fake btw. it's just the sodium salt of glutamic acid, one of the amino acids that make up all proteins. sodium sensitivity is common, but msg is a smaller proportion of sodium by weight than table salt. the reasons for the blame falling specifically on msg have to do with just racism.
