I have a terminal case of bovine pungiform encephalopathy, the bovine puns are cowmpulsory

The boat has no nails or screws; entirely wood lashed together with rope
they're sailing around the pacific again, saw them last weekend when they stopped in seattle. toured the boat, went to a presentation they did about the history and navigation
met one of the 13 crew aboard, 70-something year old man who has been sailing on this boat for decades. He had some really good stories!

it's incredible!! they just memorize how stars will look at different latitudes and times, watch the birds in the day, and feel the water temperature and currents. It sounds like a skill that is built over a lifetime!
The dichotomy between this beauty and the floating city in the back is staggering
