Somewhere over the last few weeks I've expanded a radio broadcast system I made for Coolstation to include things such as coloured text for different speakers and adding image data to allow TV broadcasts as well. Internally the whole system is designed so that the broadcasts and receiving objects aren't tracking one another, for the sake of the garbage collection.
A nice bonus however is pretty much anything can be a radio or TV so long as it subscribes to a channel (I've confused a playtest before by turning wrapping paper into a radio). All that is probably not hugely remarkable for other games, but by SS13 standards that's some level of sophistication.
Naturally, one of the other devs has made a Shrek skin for the TV.
