thinking about the relationship between COVID policy and the manufactured consent of self-driving cars. both examples of "if we just make this insanely dangerous thing culturally normal and pragmatically inescapable we can profit off the blood". the only way to stay safe being to effectively opt into disability, choose to live in a way where you are structurally excluded from wide swaths of life most people consider "normal"
