the bus metaphor is so dumb to me because framerules instantly made much more sense when they started with “so there’s no point in checking if mario beat the level every frame”. like it’s so much more intuitive when you start with the logic behind it rather than a metaphor that makes no sense (especially to americans, who don’t know anything about public transit)
not everyone understands how computers do things, for a lot of people the computer is a box they use for social media and movies sometimes
