truly amazed at how you stuck the landing on this one boys. here i was thinking "maybe they'll fix the problem where interrupting playback to open any kind of dialog results in playback continuing and the dialog UI being completely frozen so you have to blind-click and hope you got it right." instead, you have broken the timeline so completely that any ripple deletes trash audio sync permanently. hats off. shipping this is a breathtaking fuckup.

after doing a fresh install and having used a version of davinci resolve 16 since 2020 before said reinstall, i can't believe i'm considering whether or not kdenlive is worth putting my time into instead of putting my poor laptop through even more stress.

edit: i keep typing and deleting my thoughts where i go off forever so all i will say is that i do find it hilarious how computers made editing from something that was tedious and boring, with splicing and editing physical film/tape, into something easier and empowering, and couldn't be happy with that, so they made it bad in a new way instead, horrible.
