Literally so what? Who's the victim here? In what way could it possibly hurt the developer to offer an ease to whoever wants it?

Is the game a PVP online-only ranked-only championship? Is one player's ease directly making the game unplayable for another? No? Then who give a shit.
TL:DR; always make sure your game has an option to simply experience as much or as little as you like to, without requiring the player do litteral labor.
(this goes triple for Pokemon Go, who made the game more accessible for stationary players during 2020, and is now reverting those accessibility changes in order to monetize microtransactions that might be required to fill the gap left behind. Fuck Niantic and Fuck TPC)
