i am considering my third (3rd) day running of sitting on the top of an observation tower in a park to stare at a railyard and a drawbridge, and i'm wondering why i would consider such a thing.
I don't super much care about the Artemis II SRB train except for the emotional investment I put in trying to race and catch it on Monday, only to be 5 minutes too late to the crossing.
that's probably part of it. spite.
the other part is like. this is barely anything to moo, this is an extremely convenient place to go to, it's like 5 minutes on the bicycle from my house, and since I'm on the bike, I don't have to lug my gear a half mile down the trail from the nearest parking lot, I can just roll up to the base of the tower.
spite, convenience, and the general intrigue of spaceflight logistics happening someplace I can see them without having to be badged media, i guess.
