I'm still pissed off that most countries make it impossible for people to get COVID-19 vaccines even annually, let alone twice a year β or, for economic reasons, literally can't afford to.
We've been producing these shots for years! We should scale production up!
I learned last night that in the UK the updated boosters for the current variants are only available to people over age 65 or with certain health conditions and thatβs so insane to me like these arenβt precious at this point and we never treated the flu shot this way itβs like governments are actively deciding to stop doing standard public health practices out of spite
It's the same attitude with antivirals and PCR tests, at least here in BC. They're so committed to the belief that COVID-19 is Just A Cold Nowβ’ that they're taking active measures to prevent people from handling it like it's not just a cold, save for the (extremely appreciated) free test kit program.
