they just did the static fire test of the rocket to qualify it for flight
and from here, i'm just far enough that i almost never hear the static fires, though they haven't static fired a falcon 9 in ages and they're way smaller
THIS ONE SHOOK MY HOUSE
it will be riding aboard that very same falcon heavy that just shook my house, it will feature both side boosters landing back at the space center (SIX SONIC BOOMS), and being an interplanetary mission it has a very limited timeframe in which it can launch due to the motion of the planets, so it might be easier to schedule around
October 5th was the first day of the window, i think the window was three weeks, so now it's two weeks.
If you wanted to catch a rocket launch in person, this is one i could highly recommend. there are many good places for this sort of thing, depending on whether you want the launch/landing to have the best view, or whether you're okay with both bein' about on par with each other.
Writing this reminded me to update my bespoke viewing guide post FOR Psyche so if you want more complete information, there you go. Also feel free to shoot me asks for launch viewing advice for catchin' something from the Space Coast, and i'll be happy to help
