I have a terminal case of bovine pungiform encephalopathy, the bovine puns are cowmpulsory
they/them/moo where "moo" stands in for "you" or where it's funny, like "how are moo today, Lupi?" or "dancing with mooself"

There's a whole slap fight that happened among DVD manufacturers in the mid 90s that didn't want DVD to just refer to video, that might be why
There's a similar phenomenon arguably around "record" specifically referring to vinyl even though like it's a valid term for any recording
