I have a terminal case of bovine pungiform encephalopathy, the bovine puns are cowmpulsory
they/them/moo where "moo" stands in for "you" or where it's funny, like "how are moo today, Lupi?" or "dancing with mooself"

Just FYI, next Wednesday there will be a test of all cell phones in America that will make them beep at 2pm Eastern.
Just thought I'd pass that along in case anyone's got a hidden cell phone for any reason.
edit: some additional info available in the comments; it's not just phones that will go off. you might want to tell people you know who are not extremely online if they would be startled by something like this

i have read that even if a phone is entirely off during the test, it will sound the alert as soon as it is turned back on. might be of note.
if it functions simularly to how the UK system works(which i think it does as it uses the same part of the 5G/4G spec for the phone part) that will only be the case if they are still broadcasting the alert packets at the time the phone is turned back on, the modem will be off when the phone is off and thus will not be able to receive the packets
When is the last time this happened? Trying to remember if I got dinged previously.

I'm pretty sure there's a setting to disable most alerts if you dig deep enough in the phone settings. Mine are all turned off.
Not just cell phones, also broadcast radio and television.
NOAA all-hazards weather radios have a weekly test which occurs at about the same time for those of us on the West Coast
