good lord. damn. wow. whoa. holy cow.
I thought this was gonna be a wash when I got out of the house and saw the cloud cover. I was halfway considering pivoting to a long lens pad shot and I am SO glad I didn't.
THERE'S FUCKING ROCKET LAUNCH GODRAYS IN THIS LOOK AT THAT HOLY SHIT
AND THE FULL MOON BATHING THE CLOUDS IN LIGHT
I also got to share the experience with a school group of elementary schoolers from eastern NC who I learned are going to have their project sent to the ISS on November, and that makes tonight all the sweeter. I sent them this photo before I even sent it to y'all here, because that's so rad. told the chaperones and staff to get back in touch after their stuff launches and I'd get them whatever picture I get of that launch as well.
this one fuckin ruled, holy shit.
I've also immediately put this one up for viewing and purchase on my photo site. if you saw my post on my personal today, you'd probably be aware that I'd appreciate a sale or two now more than ever, I'm in a real tight financial spot, so if this one (or anything else on there!) speaks to you, I'd say go for it.
see y'all when I'm done with the bike ride home, and maybe after I ride this good mood a little longer.
i mentioned it elsewhere but i get 4x6s done up of some of my favorites in my portfolio to give out to folks when i'm at a public park for a launch, and I'm way overdue to restock 'em as it is
maybe i should lump this one in, i've already done the edits necessary and burnt it to the disc i keep those files on for the walgreens kiosk (the pictures turn out better that way, 'cause doing the job over the internet ruins the color for some reason???)
walgreens has a 15 cents each over 75 deal for 4x6s this week, but that's still gonna be like 20 bucks at least, so i'm wringing my hooves over whether i should jump on it
hatching an idea, not sure what'll come of it yet
