A lot of what I do here for rocket launches involves picking one of the public parks by the river, and hanging out there to answer questions/point things out to folks who are new to the "seeing a rocket launch" thing for whatever reason (of many! i love hearing the stories).
In addition to that, I keep a bunch of 4x6s on hand of some of the best shots from my portfolio (see @aWildLupi) to hand out to folks, especially first-timers and kids, so they have somethin' of a souvenir from their experience that they wouldn't otherwise!
I'm way overdue to restock on those (i'm out of so many of 'em!), and my drugstore printer of choice is running 15 cent 4x6s this week, so I figured I'd seize the opportunity while it'd closer to 20 bucks than to 50 to do so.
I'm gonna get extra copies of this photo in this run and put them up for sale on Ko-Fi to cover the costs of doin' this, and I also have a handful of prints left from my first run I'll be slipping into the envelopes as well. (if you have a preference (like, a top 3 ideally), send a ko-fi message after purchase, that link has the quantities of em)
Since this is well and truly under the limit of what counts as a "letter," I can even ship these internationally for very little cost! Just two regular stamps and a few extra ten-cent stamps
I see this as a nice little way to cover (or at least offset) the costs of restocking on these outreach handouts, and also to give away all the rest of the first-run 4x6s I've just got sitting on an end table, since their watermarks were outside the safe print area and they're not useful as handouts.

I was gonna run to the drugstore and get the print order started right after makin' this post (i have to do it via CD at the kiosk because doin' the print job over the internet flattens the colors a surprising amount) but we're due for storms, and the rain's already begun, oops. Will tack that onto my next errands run, then.
it's super grey out, but there's supposedly very little chance of rain so i suppose it's time to go out n get em printed.
i thought i had rewards points to use towards it too but they were all just coupons, though i'm set anyhow. will report back with pictures in hoof
edit: actually hold up, no, i'm gonna double-stack this errand with laundry, so i'll sort all my laundry first, get the washer started, then maybe run over to sett up the job? dunno. actually no that's a logistical nightmare to try
haven't had a lunch special from my favorite place in ages
my bad, bad timing with a shift change and then goin off for pizza and hunting for odds and ends (apparently neither the dollar store nor harbor freight have stick-on rubber grippy feet!), experiencing a lil bit of chaos when the dollar store had their fire alarm goin off nonstop (got to see the fire truck come in and try to figure out why, they think it's to do with construction in an adjacent unit)
I've kept busy! job is printing now tho
180 at 15 cents a piece isn't too bad tho
