if anyone in the area's free tomorrow, wanna watch a launch from one of the coolest spots?
There's an Atlas tomorrow launching those test satellites for Amazon (eugh), but the Atlas is a rocket whose days are numbered, there's only so many of 'em left, so I've been trying to make sure I caught one from Playalinda Beach (canaveral national seashore). As mentioned before, that's the best spot to watch an Atlas, you can see the pad right across the beach and it rules.
Problem is I can't bike there, and even if I could, that's 15 miles each way, ough. All my media friends had no issue gettin' on base for it, so I've got nobody who got left out to carpool with.
I do have the parking pass so we can get in for free, I just don't have the car.
It's set for no earlier than 2:00 tomorrow afternoon, so ideally we'd wanna rock up at around 12:30-1:00 to make sure we're on the right side of the road closure
