"biblically accurate" does not mean "kind of weird" or "has a lot of eyes on it for some reason". shut up!!! stop saying that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if anything "biblically accurate" should mean something like "internally contradictory, argued over for years, extremely contextual to your current culture or the one you grew up in" but that's not as fun i guess whatever

haven't encountered this one but every time someone says "prodigal" like it means "going away and then returning" I fucking lose my shit, so I can relate

i was thinking this, too.
”biblically accurate“ definitely had its original context when it was first used as a descriptor for whatever, but that particular phrase together has been lexicalized into something beyond this original context, even if it's always in allusion to it.

that this discussion exists in the first place with something like the word use over a silly internet meme just sounds like another manifestation of those dual extremes of the neurodivergent structuralist literal use of words vs. the neurodivergent post‑structuralist playful/fuzzier/etc. use of words.

(...assuming that i'm understanding ”structuralism“ vs. ”post‑structuralism“ here correctly bc i'm googling it now and confusing myself even though my brain reached for these wordssss)
