I know what I’m seeing but I don’t know what I’m looking at. These are gorgeous images and I’d love to understand how you created them because I confess I’m baffled.

I used a telephoto lens focused to infinity, framed the eclipse between the branches, then held eclipse glasses in front on the lens. Basically a in-camera composite. I came up with this idea on the spot and was pretty finicky to get right.

I wanted to do something different compared to the usual photos every else was getting. I'm glad you liked it!
