Hearing the new owner laid off half of Bandcamp's staff, absolutely tragic. IDK if that's targeting the people who were trying to unionize or what. That site is the most important thing to the independent music industry and it doesn't deserve this falloff.
Reminder to still support musicians on the platform and that no one has called for a boycott, if you think about doing that in response to bad news you'd just be hurting artists.

It appears that it a lot of (maybe all?) the editorial staff, lots of the writers working are posting that they got laid off. Which is fucked and doesn't speak well of what'll happen with the rest of the company, considering they called out Bandcamp Daily as one of the parts of the company they intend to "plan to keep." Also saw a tweet that says the bulk of the support staff was laid off too.
