She's got good points, funnily enough Van Kerkhove basically means Of Graveyarde in Dutch.
It's always so fucking weird to be reminded of like three years ago (I'm so old I can remember ... three years ago) when hardly anyone was sick with COVID compared to now and yet it was being treated to some degree as a problem that was undesirable.
she keeps mentioning how governments need to make interventions available and acknowledge the problem. meanwhile any and all specific callouts about the United States government, which you'd think would be relevant in "Scientific American," are elided or edited out entirely.
