functionally, what is the differnce between leaving a slow cooker/instantpot set to be a slow cooker unattended on an errand (generally considered to be acceptable behavior)
and leaving the same dish in a dutch oven with an induction cooktop set to low
there's not even a heating element with the induction cooktop
there's no functional difference here. we left shit simmering on the stove/cooktop/whatever long before instapots, etc. even existed.
just trying to kill the "that's a fire hazard" in my head and be like 'yeah that'll be fine i can let my stew go on low while i go to the laundromat, iff that's how events have to shakeout tomorrow
