I never got into foobar but I really loved xmplay for a lot of the same reasons people cite for foobar, tons of both native and supported Winamp plugins to play every format under the sun and use every effect and lots of its own unique visualizations that are really cool
deadbeef has the means, but not the support, to maybe be able to do it. But really only foobar2000 has both.
