Hating The Printer is always correct

You're only returning what it gives you

Printers are made of dark magic and powered by the blood of the innocent and there's really only two consumer models anyone should own. That's the no frills Brother monochrome laser or the Epson Ecotank inkjet.

i WANTED an ecotank but when my dad was in town we went to some yard sales and he was like "hey lupi you wanted a printer didn't you" in earshot of the yard sale guy and now i have an epson workforce 630 and i've ordered a replacement magenta cartridge (the other cartridges were all name brand, magenta wasn't for some reason????)

an ecotank is a long term goal for doing home printing that way i can just entirely give up on print on demand photo shit. or walgreens prints except for batch stuff to save my ink

in reply to @lupi's post:

I've been supporting an ecotank for at least 4 years now, I don't know how the photo quality is bc I've never done that but mom can print all her random crap without issue and I just have to fill the tanks and run the maintenance programs every couple of months to realign the print heads and clean the nozzles. It never even forgets the wifi info, which amazes me.

Can second NeckSpike's recommendation for the Brother laser printers, ours has been one of the most worry-free appliances I've ever lived with. Which is really weird for a printer. But it basically never needs toner and handles different media like label paper fine, works well over network, drivers are trouble-free, etc
