elon what the FUCK are you talking about.

a) the verification process is there, sucks ass and is handled by idiots that ban apps for no reason

b) THE SCAMMERS DON'T EVEN USE YOUR GODDAMN API! THEY ALL USE THE PUBLIC APP TOKENS THAT YOU GET WHEN YOU USE THE WEBSITE OR THE APPS!!! NONE OF THEM ARE USING THE API BECAUSE THEY COULD BE EASILY BANNED THAT WAY AND YOU CAN SEE (or could until you dumb fuck killed it) THE FUCKING SOURCE LABEL! IF SOMEONE USES A TWITTER API APP IT IS VISIBLE (or was) YOU DONUT. i have a bot that gives me the source labels for DMs and NONE OF THE SPAMMERS USE YOUR API.

c) BY BANNING THE API YOU'RE GONNA MAKE 3RD PARTY AUTOMATION EVEN WORSE! THIS LITERALLY HAS NO UPSIDE YOU DUMBASS

also NOBODY is gonna pay 100$ per month for an API on a dying website when you can just use selenium. this mf is so out of touch
