just remembered that last night i dreamed i had been hired to be the creative lead on what i guess was some sort of web series that was making a big metafictional shared universe out of the works of Alan Moore, sort of doing a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on him you see. one of my challenges was that Alan Moore himself was also a character in the show but, knowing how persnickety he is, i struggled how best to characterize and deploy him, knowing also that it was some non-negotiable aspect of my job that this character be there. ultimately i decided to make him a little animated lego man that walked around the bottom of your screen and delivered commentary to the audience via banners he brought in from out of the frame and unrolled. i was told the real alan loved it
