The Daggerscreech Mountains loom, jagged and terrible, over the Mortuary City of Skugangard, where the catacombed foothills host at least two scapulimancers in every tomb, three or five vrykolakasts per mausoleum, and in the sewers of the city as many as ten phlebogoets to a cistern. In one such cistern, under the menacing care of such a foul and ruddy-fingered magus, lived the hero of our tale: a courageous little turtle named Mashed Potatoes.
