they've built a website that basically admits up front "we aim to get users that flee twitter as it crumbles" and then IN NO WAY fucking prepares for that technically with their gobs of money
i know load spikes can be very hard and not sensible to prepare for... but that's only true when you have not been told in advance "you're going to get a spike in new users" by the past half dozen events which have happened as part of your user acquisition thesis.
and what's more, i can throw some very large stones here as i ran complex web services that explicitly had to plan for and deal with 5x load spikes! i know what it takes! you have boatloads of cash, you could spend dev resources on that!
instead they're smoking it all on some blockchain thing that's going to fail to accomplish what it purports to AND piss off their userbase
