i'm a bit delirious today. managed a short stream. tested negative, i'm worried my tests are too old to be effective (do they expire?), there's some weird streaking on the strip. no fever, gastrointestinal distress, weird appetite, headaches for the last week. no one is around to grab a test for me, which doesn't bode well for me asking for any help with meals. i have one takeout in this week's budget and the snow stopped, so that'll be dinner, and i guess i'll have to bide til then. i'm scared i've had a sickness for a while and didn't notice because of a regular difficulty. scared its covid, scared of long covid, scared of becoming more disabled. just lying on the couch like usual.

Tldr this says yes the protein antibodies to detect COVID can deteriorate over time; double check the FDA website to see though if your brand extended their expiration dates bc initially due to the unknown, a lot of manufacturer's had really conservative expiration dates that they then extended. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/expired-covid-test
