i'm reading a piece of work right now that i heard has a plural character in it, and... the work is really about, in such a deep sense, a system's relationship to their own plurality. it's not just that a system is acting in the world and explaining their thoughts from different perspectives -- we are in the perspectives of the three as they relate, learn, react, negotiate* through sealed-off memories, their purposes they were made for, their own desires, relationships. even though it's a story where "the culprit/protagonist is plural" is initially framed as a gotcha... i've been reading about these two headmates relating to each other for about two hours now, nearly devoid of plot. i love them i love them so much.
