It has been almost 2 weeks and nobody has solved my secret puzzle yet >:)

uh i found some stuff i think :o

thank you to Halls and Jaiden from The Peoples Republic of Garfield for helping me out with this :3

firstly, at the end of Isaac's section the wingdings translate to complete the sentence- "The day Isaac met Caelle and Vae was t︎h︎e︎ d︎a︎y︎ h︎e︎ l︎o︎s︎t︎ E︎V︎E︎R︎Y︎T︎H︎I︎N︎G︎"

secondly, theres is there is the white mare section. its entirely in wingdings and after being translated to english and run thru a vigenere cipher with the key being TOBIAS (which can be found in the little card of the white mare) i got this:

i have no clue who Tobias is or how they are related to the white mare or Isaac

other than that there are the numbers on the white mare's card... 4□5□1523-2□19□1596
perhaps the squares are date separators indicating a date of birth and a date of death? (4/5/1523-2/19/1596)

and behind the text of the mare's section there is [this gif:] (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/883492579679817728/1131007458840674484/mare.gif), seemingly a drawing of the mare. upside down for some reason... and also the number 2023 can be seen at the bottom right of the gif with an arrow pointing left above it?
perhaps indicating the current year in the setting which will let us get the rough birth dates of the characters, if that ever matters.

the last thing i can mention that seems to be related to this puzzle is this part of Caelle's section:

You may occasionally see me draw Caelle with silver hair instead of blonde hair. This is because she **[REDACTED]**

im not completly sure what to make of all this, but if anyone else sees this post and has any ideas please share :D

Whoa you got pretty much everything -- that was fast! To clarify, this isn't meant to be a full on ARG or anything and I might've oversold the extent of it, so sorry about that, I just wanted to throw a little cipher and some cryptic lore breadcrumbs into the post for fun and see if anyone could figure it out.

A few notes:

  • The thing in the bottom right of the White Mare gif is actually just my signature that I put on all my art -- my initials and the year the piece was drawn.

  • The note about Caelle's hair is also unrelated. There is a reason behind her hair sometimes being a different color but revealing it would be a major spoiler for the story these characters are a part of. I probably should've omitted that line entirely but I decided to be a little silly about it instead.

  • The numbers in the box are what I thought was an essential clue to solving the cipher, and I'm curious as to how you got it without figuring out what the numbers meant. You're on the right track -- they're dates, and googling them should hopefully reveal what I was going for there.

As for the rest, hopefully you'll be able to find out what it means someday, if I ever manage to make something out of this world in my head. For now, though, you've already figured out everything that's possible to figure out with what little I've given. Again, sorry if I made you think there was some much larger puzzle to solve! I just think ciphers and puzzles and ARGs are really interesting and wanted to try making something very small in that vein for fun, to see if I could, and to see what would happen.

oh wow i see! yes that is the birth and death date of a person named Blaise de Vigenère, which is the person the vigenere cipher was named after. thats a very cool way to hint at what cipher you used! Halls from the Garfcord was the one to figure out that this is a vigenere cipher, as for how im not sure. i suppose he was already familiar with this cipher and just tried it out here and it happened to be the right one lol. sorry for breaking your puzzle :p /j

Again, sorry if I made you think there was some much larger puzzle to solve!
