From the depths of one of the earliest ships lost to those age-old experiments, when it surfaced for a time, a creature that almost certainly descends from single-celled life that survived aboard it long enough to evolve and adapt. Something like a fish, if fish were nearly transparent and resembled a vastly larger amoeba internally. It can swim in the air, filling internal pockets with the energy of its native reality to do so, and extrudes rainbow-glistening tendrils to feed; luckily, it prefers to sweep surfaces for nutrition, rather than being a hunter, and can be trained to keep an environment clean through simple conditioning.
