man, I really miss friend group discords where I can just lurk or contribute when other people are chatting. I am absolutely garbage at 1-on-1 conversations.
and with really-big-group conversations, it's impossible to get a lurker word in :c

and i could fight people and it would never be socially unacceptable. do i like you? pinch! do i hate you? pinch! am i hungry? delicate pinch.
i exist only to make funny punchlines once a month and then retreat back into the shadows π
im now curious if there is a topic that will activate the Claret and make you go off for an hour.
probably! I can talk a lot around people I'm comfortable with, but the whole Warming Up period takes me a while and is easier for me in group settings. I always feel like 1 on 1 conversations with people I don't know very well are uncomfortable and stilted vs being able to talk to them in a group and getting to know them more organically. π©
OOOOHHH I get that actually. Like not as heavily but I've weirdly had a much easier time getting to know people while a show is on while we talk? Like... the focus isn't solely on you and there's an easy thing to comment on and keep brain jostling.
I feel that so badly, and the worst thing is that like, when a group gets too busy I also can't interact because it feels too "noisy" for me? Absolute worse
Nothing wrong with sending random things to people (if its something you feel they'd like)
