Hi. I'm Madiha. I write Unjust Depths, a web serial novel full of trans women and queer romance, as well as politicking and death as a result of massive social strife in the stagnating remnants of humanity beneath the oceans of a world much like our own. There's also fish women, and mecha, and erotic cannibalism. It's completely free. It's my labor of love and a story that nobody but me would make, and all I want is for you to enjoy it.

So why not give it a try, on this, the gay month.

working on the next compilation epub. as a heads up the book is getting split up into two epubs (they'll be zipped together). it's become kinda annoying to work on a single 1.3 million words document so its been split into a 600,000 word Anthology 1 and a 700,000 word Anthology 2. i am going to try to get this out tomorrow. as ever there will be some more typo correction stuff to the original text since thats just easier to do on the epub.

putting this together ive found the current wordcount of Unjust Depths is 1,320,245 words. Anthology 2 is already bigger than 1.

the problem is i love writing about political upheaval and betrayal and coups and reprisals and civil war and dictatorships and i have so many ideas and maybe the best thing to do would be to someday just write an actual anthology work where i can just explore these ideas more briskly and satisfy my curiosities and fixations as they come without being wedded to the specific cast of a multi-year story that i thought about three years ago. then if i became obsessed with like, puppet governments and proxy wars, i could write my pathological fantasies about how lesbians would be sad, brutal and handsome in them. i would satisfy my whims without caring about the continuity of a multiple years canon of ongoing serial fiction behind it.

but. the other problem is its not satisfying to write about those things without a long tail. you have to follow someone for a bit to care that they have been betrayed or outmaneuvered or that they have been stripped of their power and cast down or reduced to an object in the midst of an unraveling of events beyond their grasp. so ultimately, probably the first such episode of that "anthology" would just balloon endlessly and I would feel committed to seeing it through to a "satisfying" conclusion which can only be achieved with sufficient "runway." even just explaining is making me tired, and has taken over 200 words to do. there is no cure for my addiction here.

anyway wish me luck on the next unjust depths chapter im working on, it won't be about any of this it will be about like. logistics.

The next Unjust Depths draft is finished! In time for me to have a little holiday even!

It’s the draft of Knight in the Ruins of the End 8.

Due to personal/health difficulties it will be slightly shorter than the past couple chapters at 13k words. But I think that wretched woman enjoyers will appreciate it.

I will edit it on Saturday and have it out Sunday! I hope everyone will enjoy it.
