a question that im asked infrequently about, think about a bit more frequently, and am able to answer even less frequently than either is "how do i write" or even "how do I write so much." i have an outline, but to outside eyes the outline is very useless. the 12.4 outline is more useless than others as its just a list of characters who I want to have scenes, and the phrase "people like the downtime chapters" to remind me that I shouldn't go too insane with grief if this chapter is mechanistically uninteresting in the grand scheme of history.
with unjust depths, im writing about a lot of things im really passionate about, spent my whole life reading about, spend time reading about every other day, think about all the time. and then i think about how to convey the things i want to in a way that i find interesting.
also, its difficult to speak to because i appear before you fairly formed as a writer. i started writing fanfiction when i was 10 years old and ive never stopped writing on the internet in some manner. even just the current era of things, The Solstice War was 10 years ago. i think if you have an obsession, the means with which to convey it will come to you sometime. or like me youve been obsessed forever and obsession is simply something you carry out.
if i could ask that kid what happened that shes doing this she might have a good answer.
anyway, just be open about what you want and to hell with everybody else.
