my partner is asking me a bait question that is impossible to answer but will set me off anyways because i love music

i cant really name an all time favorite of anything, usually, its just how my brain works. but here are some recent favs from as many different genres that I tend to listen to that have been getting repeats in no particular order

• underscores (genre: pop-ish)

  • its the new wave of the future! fishmonger is a classic, boneyard aka fearmonger is the closest thing i have to a trans anthem album, and the new stuff coming out is crazy. april has something special going on here.^{1 2}

• acloudyskye (genre: electronic heavy, post-rock...indietronic..a bit all over the place)

  • What Do You Want! was one of my favorite EPs of 2022, honestly. im a sucker for a good 12 minute song. Blood Rushing Like Current Through a Powerline is fucking great.

• Slant (genre: hc punk)

  • speaks for itself!! 1집

• Vylet Pony (genre: yes)

  • pony music lives and its better than ever. go listen to Carousel (An Examination of the Shadow, Creekflow, and its Life as an Afterthought)
    

• EDEN (genre: indie pop)

  • always love to see boys being sad. Modern Warfare is a single that stands out

• Delta Sleep (genre: math rock/indie rock)

  • love when the rock is math (thanks friend who showed me them you know who you are)

• feeble little horse (genre: indie rock)

  • look at that indie rocking horse go

1. • honorable mention in the pop sphere: brakence - while i think a little less of his work in general, some of these tracks i could listen to on repeat like 700 times i s2g. ginger tea still gets me. crazy voice. nuts really. ³

"Genre: yes" is absolutely the vibe of pony music and I still have no clue what genre I like
