Idk, halp q-q I don't have much stuff happening that I want to write about. It's all stuff happening to me and just aaaa

Also, notice the attached photo isn't the comic sans ball, it's the other test football I made! It's the Cherokee syllabary; I stayed as true as possible to the Microsoft keyboard layout but had to take some liberties.

Some of the ball is wrong—I missed the syllable Ꮖ qua, so I couldn't write out the city ᏓᎵᏆ Talequah, or say something like ᏌᎽᎡᎴ ᏓᏆᏙ "my name is Samuel". I was able to write ᎠᎹᏗᎧᏂᎬᎬ ᏗᎨᎬ "I am from Nowata"—apocryphally, the name is Lenape in origin and the Cherokee name translates to "water is all gone" (i.e., "no water") making it an example of both a Lenape-English Eggcorn AND an English-Cherokee Calque, making it the only instance I know of a 🎵trilingual eggcalque🎵

i've been playing a shitload of barotrauma with @pupwitch and friends recently and i've gotta say:

• it's fucking great
• it's not nearly as tense/spooky as i thought it would be (in fact, the ragdoll physics really just make it comedic-hectic if anything)
• i love that it's max 16p, so no one is at risk of being 5th-person-for-a-four-person-game'd. ideal crew size is really like 6-8ppl, which means you can just mitosis the group if needed
• it's like pulsar: lost colony, in terms of roles and general gameplay, but 2d and with more fleshed out systems/things feel less Empty

also it has mod support, so i have already written a mod that does some light XP-syncing in campaigns so that new players can drop-in and not be totally fucked on progression. additionally and similarly, it gives an xp floor in one-shot missions so that we can run one-shots with friends we're introducing to the game, and let them mess around with picking traits and stuff.

"but heckie, you can do all that with the in-game console commands" yeah and this automates it and also doesn't require disabling achievements just so that our friends don't get punished for not being Always Online. i'm making the game better for my friends and writing shitty utility mods again. i love doing this shit.
