@musings-of-morgan's sidepage for theological/spiritual/witchy thoughts opinions and shares. I am predominantly a baby hellenic polytheist/hellenic pagan who also venerates my ancestors both blood related and related by queerness. Might dip my toes into pop culture magic/paganism in 2024 we'll see.

Sideblog/sidepage of @musings-of-morgan - this is for all my witchy/theology/religion-posting & reblogging/sharing. I've pretty much covered the bases on my page bio, but basically, I'm a newly-made convert to hellenic polytheism/ancient greek paganism ("officially" converted end of 2022/early 2023) & I've been dabbling in general "witchy" things since September 2021.

I engage in ancestral veneration; both my ancestors by blood and ancestors by queerness are at my table. As my blood ancestors lived in Appalachia & the American South I tend to incorporate their folk practices when I can - I don't have any meaningful cultural/heritage ties outside of Appalachia and the South so I don't feel it's appropriate to try and "reclaim" a Irish/Scottish/Swiss heritage as it, effectively, doesn't exist. Perhaps with the ancestors' help that will change as I decolonize my thinking and way of life.

I am incredibly critical of cultural christianity/christian hegemony and the thinking/morals it instills in people, in case you couldn't tell. I am constantly encouraging folks to deconstruct this thinking and challenge it whenever they can - I don't think christianity is inherently "evil" but it's important to acknowledge its role as a tool in white supremacy, settler-colonialism, and of course, capitalism.

That's pretty much it! Ask me about what books I've been reading, I guess, as 90% of it is likely related to the above lol
