I was having a stressful day today, my brain has felt all over the place and generally out of sorts, and I was fretting about whether or not to go the gym. I always ride my bike, but it's so cold out and I don't have winter cycling gloves so... I decided to take the train there for the first time.
One thing I was lightly down about was the fact that I haven't had a menorah since I started living alone. But a young boy came up to me on the train and asked me if I was Jewish and if I had a menorah. I answered yes and no respectively, then he gave me one!
I'll be putting it in a better spot tomorrow.
I wandered into the gym very tired and not planning on accomplishing much, though my spirits were greatly lifted by the gift.
To my surprise, I bench pressed my first yellow plates. Proof under the cut.
50 kg / 110 lbs!
Only one rep, but I didn't expect to get there today. Somehow things are good :)
