this is AMAZING. i adore how several elements blend into others (unicorn's tail→grass/plants, unicorn'd foreleg→same color as grass/plants, jester's halberd at either end→trees & plants) not only does it like visually, compositionally help things move together more cohesively, it also makes things feel more dreamlike or ethereal? like there is definitely a huge supernatural feeling to this. i don't get that feeling when i look at medieval art but i imagine the people who were alive then DID so this is like super cool. sorry for very long comment I am just awed
