I think the reason my last two shootchosts mention trials and tribulations is that I've been thinking about eschatology and how the eschatology of the New Kingdom moment in Spin is essentially bereft of spirituality, and a nuncmillenial cult of religious-but-not-spiritual fundamentalists leaning heavily on theological language to control individuals sounds pretty dang familiar in the year of our COVID 3.
