hi i've been playing Röki lately which is fun (for me) because it's a puzzle game and is entirely about Norse mythology (and also about grief) (and repressed memories) (and family atoning for wrongs) so i've been sucked into that for the last few days. i have no idea how close to done i am. the game is much longer and more complex than i thought it would be, for whatever price i'd bought it when it was on sale sometime last year.

also the Yule Cat (Jólakötturinn) makes an appearance which made me GASP so loud when i saw him and i got unreasonably excited about it. in the game, his black fur has lost its dark luster and he wants you to find a way to make it black again. (you end up giving him some charcoal, LOL which you lie about and say it's a pomade) (the idea of giving, essentially, a coal product to a Saint Nicholas-associated folkloric figure is so fucking funny thank you)

also he has a mirror in his den because he's obsessed with himself. i love him
